Why go private?
Dental patients in the UK have a choice of seeing a dentist on the NHS or seeing a private dentist. NHS dentists are employed by the Department of Health and treatment is heavily subsidised by the state and taxpayers, while private dentists are self-employed or employed by private clinics or dental chains. Private fees are set by the company or the individual and they vary. If you’re thinking of having dental treatment or you would like to register with a new dentist, here are some reasons you may wish to consider going to a private dentist:

Greater variety of treatments
Private dentists offer a more diverse range of treatments than NHS dentists; NHS dentistry is designed to prevent and treat dental health problems and treatments are only provided when they are considered essential. Private dentists are able to offer whichever treatments they want, and this means that you can access all kinds of treatments and services, rather than just general dental care. Private dentists commonly offer cosmetic, restorative and orthodontic treatments and some may even offer facial aesthetics and spa treatments.
Shorter waiting times
We have dedicated times throughout day earmarked for emergency and private patient. Seeing a dentist privately means effectively no waiting times. Same day appointments are guaranteed.
Higher Quality Material
As a private patient you are able to gain access to the highest quality of dental materials on the market. Most of the time we are restricted on what materials can be used on NHS materials due to pricing restraints placed by the NHS.
Choice of dentist
With an NHS dental practice it is difficult to choose your dentist as you will be seen by which surgery has an opening – rather than the dentists individually setting their diaries. As a private patient you are able to choose which dentist you see or potential multiple dentists at the same practice to receive the best treatment; for example, if you are having a smile makeover, you may see a couple of dentists who have special interests in different areas.

I rarely go to dentist unless I'm in alot of pain as I have a bad fear of dentist. Went today as I was in alot of pain told the young dentist about my fear and anxiety and he couldn't of made me feel more relaxed. He was amazing. Thank you so much for removing my tooth. Now no more pain.

Amazing! My son had been in awful pain over the weekend, so I emailed hoping that he may be treated on Monday. Without any hesitation, he was seen, and the problem was dealt with. Fantastic support is given. Thank you all.

First time I've been to a dentist and they were early. Also, the dentist explained everything, which I've never had to that extent.

I've been coming to this surgery since I was a child. The surgery is old fashioned but very clean. The dentists have changed over the years and the current ones are very nice and friendly. They recognise nervous patients and work out a way to put you at ease and to alert them when you want them to stop treatment.
